hydraulic leak pallet jack

Hydraulic leakage is one of the most common and significant faults in manual pallet trucks, which can cause the forklift to be unable to lift and lower normally, reduce its load-bearing capacity, and operate unstably. If not dealt with in a timely manner, it may accelerate the damage of the hydraulic system and even cause safety accidents.

Common causes of hydraulic leakage

Aging or wear of seals: Hydraulic cylinder piston seals, O-rings, etc. may fail due to long-term use or environmental corrosion.
Hydraulic oil contamination or insufficiency: Impurities enter the oil circuit or the oil volume is insufficient, causing abnormal system pressure.
Damage to cylinder body or oil pipe: External impact can cause scratches on the hydraulic cylinder, oil pipe rupture, or loose joints.
Valve malfunction: Worn release valve or pump valve causing internal leakage.

Diagnostic and testing steps

Visual inspection: Look for oil stains and focus on inspecting the hydraulic cylinder, oil pipe joints, and pump valve area.
Pressure test: Test whether the lifting and lowering are smooth by operating the handle, and determine the internal leakage point.
Oil level check: Confirm whether the hydraulic oil is sufficient and whether the oil quality is clean.

Solution and Maintenance Guide

Replace seals: Use high-quality sealing kits (such as ZZ Industrial original parts) to repair the leakage point.
Hydraulic oil replacement: Drain the old oil and clean the system, then add specialized hydraulic oil.
Component repair or replacement: Professional repair or replacement of damaged cylinder blocks, oil pipes, or valves.
Professional debugging: After maintenance, pressure calibration and operational testing are required to ensure system sealing.
